A Two and Half Rupee British India Note Fetches INR 6,40,000 at Todywalla's 100th Auction

The 100th Todywalla auction was held at Wankhede Stadium’s MCA Lounge on December 2nd, 2015. In this auction a rare 1918 Uniface note bearing the portrait of King George V has fetched a hammer price of INR 640,000 against an estimated INR 250,000-300,000.Another rare collectible, a gold coin belonging to the Vijayanagara Empire, minted between 1509 and 1529 CE, was realised at INR 2,750,000 against an estimate of INR 2,500,000. The coin depicts Lord Balaji under an arch donning Makara ornamentation and a crown, holding weapons in his hands.
